Bed and Breakfast accommodation, at Ewich House, Tyndrum, Crianlarich, Scotland, UK - West Highland Way

The West Highland Way is 152km (95 miles) long and links Milngavie (Glasgow) to Fort William. It runs for Scotland’s largest city, along its largest freshwater loch (Lomond) to the foot of its highest mountain (Ben Nevis).

Strathfillan marks the halfway point which makes Ewich a very popular stopping off point for WHW walkers. We are just 200mtrs from the way itself and there is a sign on the path pointing you down to Ewich so you can’t miss us! Most people walk to the house but if you want to walk on further to Tyndrum then we will happily pick you up and then drop you back agan in the morning. Alternatively you may decide you’ve had enough for the day when you reach the Crianlarich/Tyndrum junction. If so simply drop down into the village and again we will collect you and drop you back again in the morning.

You can also stay with us for 3 nights which has the bonus of being able to unpack and spread out for a few days. Plus you benefit from our fab hospitality for extra nights obviously! We can arrange to have you picked up/dropped off by taxi from Inverarnan on the first day. Then you would walk to the house on the second day and then on your third day you would be picked up from Inveroran/Bridge of Orchy then dropped back again in the morning. Please ask about prices for the taxi as it does vary depending on how many of you there are. It’s really good value if there are 4 or more of you.

Other services include dinner and packed lunches (see meals page for more info) drying room, overnight laundry service and early breakfasts by arrangement. Tea (and sympathy if required!) is provided on arrival which you can follow with a long hot soak in the bath surrounded by lovely perfumed bubbles (that includes the men too) and then a whisky or two in front of the roaring log fire. Or of course, weather permitting, sit outside and enjoy the view with a well earned beer.

If you fancy a night out at the nearby pubs then we will be happy to transport you down and there is an excellent and very good value local taxi service which will drop you back later. A taxi from Crianlarich is less than a fiver.

All the baggage carrying services will drop off at Ewich and we would particularly recommend AMS. Never missed a bag yet! If you have any other queries or questions please don’t hesitate to ask. Organising accommodation is like a military operation sometimes so we will try to do our best to help.
